Project description
Overview and its purpose
We closely collaborated in the production of components for the prototype of the Cupra Electric SUV Coupé. The Cupra Tavascan, renowned for its innovation and high performance, made its debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, marking a groundbreaking moment in the competitive European electric vehicle market.
Our work included producing both the Show car version and the PCP version of the vehicle.
For the Show car version, we focused on creating visually stunning and precise components. This involved CNC milling, the production of interior moldings, and anodizing aluminum in a copper finish, ensuring a perfect match with the vehicle’s color scheme. Additionally, we worked on the exterior features, including the application of letterings, copper detailing on the headlamp bezels, and copper wheel covers (hubcaps) to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal.
For the PCP version, our work was more focused on functional components, ensuring the vehicle’s engineering and fitment were up to standard. This included CNC milling in ABS, component adjustment, interference checks, and the development of functional mechanisms for the glove compartment, console, dashboard, and central console. Each piece was meticulously tested to ensure precise assembly and functionality.
The collaboration contributed to the Tavascan’s role in revolutionizing the electric vehicle market, combining cutting-edge design with advanced engineering.
